Located in Milngavie, just north of Glasgow, West of Scotland FC is one of the world’s oldest rugby clubs — founded in 1865 and a proud founding member of the Scottish Rugby Union.
Wee Westies, Micro, Mini & Midi (Pre-school to U16)
Over 250 young people train weekly, starting from age 3–5 (Wee Westies), through Micros (P1–P3), then Minis (P4-P7) finally to midi (U13 - U16) squads
We focus on individual development — on- and off-field — providing specialist coaching, strength & conditioning, nutrition, psychology, and welfare support.
Youth & Senior Rugby
Our U18s bridge the gap to adult rugby, playing in the National Conference we provide a brilliant opportunity for players to develop and reach their potential in senior rugby, at West or beyond.
Senior teams include the 1st XV (National League), 2nd XV & 2As (regional/social rugby), plus the veteran 'Burnbrae Bulls'
Women’s Rugby
Playing in Tennent’s National League Division 1, with girls’ squads at P4 to U18. Our women & girls section is the fastest growing group in the club.
Managed entirely by volunteers, West thrives on community spirit — supported by players, parents, supporters and sponsors.
