Girls Rugby is the fastest-growing section at West of Scotland RFC.
From S1 onwards, boys and girls no longer play together — and that’s where our dedicated girls’ rugby pathway begins. We currently offer girls' rugby from U14 (S1/S2) through to U18 (S5/S6), with training taking place every Thursday evening at Burnbrae.
We’re also proud to have launched a Girls Mini Rugby section, running alongside our mixed Minis. Girls are welcome to attend both the mixed mini sessions (see our Youth Rugby section) and the girls-only sessions, which currently cater to:
U10s – P4 & P5
U12s – P6 & P7
We're working hard in our community and schools to grow one of the fastest-rising sports in the world. Our vision is to build a girls' section that stands proudly alongside our long-established boys' programme.
With a focus on fun, development and progression, we offer:
High-quality coaching
Strength & conditioning support
Specialist girls’ rugby camps
The section is led by Glasgow Warrior Kate Yeomans, bringing elite experience and outstanding support to both new and returning players.
