It is with great sadness that we have to intimate the untimely passing of former West player Aidan McCall Hagan. Aidan tragically lost his life two days ago following an accident at his flat in Melbourne, Australia. He recently celebrated his 29th birthday.
Aidan played for West during the John Beattie coaching era, turning out on the wing and full back during a successful time for the club. He also represented Scotland at U18 level. Aidan subsequently moved to Edinburgh to study medicine where he played for both Boroughmuir and Edinburgh University. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him as not only a very talented rugby player but also as a great guy to have around the club.
Our thought's are with Aidan's family and friends at this terrible time.
