Senior Rugby at West of Scotland FC

Founded in 1865, West of Scotland FC has always been about offering rugby opportunities to anyone keen to pick up the ball. Over 160 years later, that tradition continues — with rugby for all ages, abilities, and ambitions. There’s truly something for everyone at West.

Our 1st XV compete in National League Division 3, with a clear ambition for promotion and a strong culture of hard work and progress. Alongside them, our 2nd XV play in the regional leagues, providing a space for players pushing towards 1st XV rugby or simply looking for a competitive run-out with friends each week.

Our U18s are the final step in the West Way — our club player development pathway. The squad competes in both the National League and Cup, bridging the gap between youth and senior rugby. Development is at the heart of this team, ensuring players of all abilities can represent the club and grow at their own pace.

For those after a more relaxed pace, our Vets team play monthly fixtures across Glasgow — a great mix of fun, camaraderie, and classic rugby spirit.

We also run "Old Man Touch", a social, non-contact session perfect for anyone stepping back from full-contact rugby. It runs every Thursday at 8:30pm — all welcome!

Whatever level you’re at, and whatever kind of rugby you’re looking for, there’s a place for you at West of Scotland FC.
